Michael Jackson – Beat It, by Pomplamoose

Posted in Media, music, web by aldorf on January 3, 2010

In 2008, Nataly Dawn and Jack Conte formed a band specialized in “Videosong“: Pomplamoose. They make their videos and songs simply by filming and editing their performances. She sings all the parts, and he plays all the instruments.

Aside from being specialized in a new musical trend made possible by the Internet, something else about Pomplamoose is remarkable: they refuse to be distributed in the traditional way, through a label.

The two musicians make a living off the sales of their albums (in September 2009 they sold 20,000 songs online) without even having created a physical copy of their album.Pomplamoose has refused offers from Warner, Sony and Universal. (via culture-buzz)

other good songs: September, Single Ladies, …
